Delightful Festive Offerings @ Hilton Kuala Lumpur

This festive season, master chefs of Hilton Kuala Lumpur have put together deliciously crafted festive menus, Christmas goodies and more for an indulgent celebration.

Vasco's, the hotel's all day dining restaurant will be offering an impressive festive buffet spread, ranging from Christmas classics as well as Asian and International favorites. Available for both lunch and dinner from 1 to 30 December 2015 (excluding Christmas Eve & Christmas Day), the buffet is priced at RM168 nett per person. For Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & NYE's Dinner Buffet, it will be priced at RM188 nett per person and RM198 nett per person for Christmas Day Lunch Buffet.

Diners can expect to find slow cooked Wagyu leg of beef or roasted prime rib, served with Yorkshire pudding. The latter, which we had during our review was beautifully cooked, revealing a gorgeous pink centre- we couldn't help but go back for second and third helpings. There will also be traditional roast turkey with chestnut stuffing and butternut squash, as well as seafood on ice, sashimi, sushi, live mud crab, oven-baked slipper lobster and more.

Japanese section - sashimi, sushi, appetizers and more.

Fish and chips - love it! Red snapper fillets are coated in a light batter and deep fried.

An impressive array of desserts await you at the end of the meal, including carrot cake, Christmas yule log and our favorite, the chestnut macarons.

We also sampled some of the festive dishes from Graze and Chambers, concocted by Chef de Cuisine Marc Fery.

Chambers Grill offers an innovative grill menu of prime aged meat cuts or fresh seafood served on skewers cooked “a la minute” over lava stone, charcoal or on our “robatayaki” style grill annexed to the hotel’s stylish main bar & lounge. For the festive month (1-23 December 2015), they will be offering a All-You-Can-Eat festive dinner menu with premium seafood and cuts of dry aged meat in skewers fir RM149 nett per person.

The Chambers starter platter comes with Classic Waldorf salad with crunchy celeriac, apples and walnuts, mixed seafood ceviche, chestnut cream soup, Loch Fyne salmon and crab croquettes and smoked duck breast with red cabbage salad.

Next, we were served a selection of Chambers skewers, including chicken satay, Mediterranean vegetables, beef rib eye, lamb kofta and Chilean black cod.

The creme brulee, served with pistachio ice cream was great - really smooth. Also available is the warm chocolate brownie with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Graze is a modern European restaurant, which places emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce and the finest cuts of meat. You can click here to view their Festive Menu

We were served the festive-looking Chestnut & Sage stuffed turkey roll with brussel sprouts, potato cakes and cranberry jus, from the 5-course Christmas Eve Dinner Menu (RM188 nett per person). For desserts, we had the rich chocolate mousse with ginger bread crisps as well as rum baba with cherry compote and vanilla ice cream.

  1. Think I would just go to one of these buffets this year. Too lazy to cook our own, old already - not that much energy plus at my age, I guess I should pamper myself a bit sometimes. VERY much cheaper here - have my eye on one place, RM60 only. I hear there is another one RM88 at one of the hotels in town, have not heard of others yet. Can't eat that much anyway, so one of these would do fine. I wish they had special prices of toothless, can't-eat-much senior citizens though. LOL!!!
