Senheng Launches S-Food As Part of the New Super App

Senheng is launching its new and enhanced Senheng App in stages and S-Food will be launched in November 2021.

S-Food is a food delivery platform where PlusOne members can order food delivery from a wide range of food merchants and restaurants while earning high S-Coin cashback. It is a platform for restaurants or food merchants to reach our 3 million PlusOne members.

For every S-Food order completed, PlusOne members will earn high S-Coin cashback of up to 20%. The S-Coin cashback is a reward system that PlusOne members earn with every purchase on an eligible lifestyle product or service in the Senheng App. The S-Coin can be redeemed at any Senheng or senQ outlets nationwide.

S-Food features multiple payment methods and options for customers to get their food orders, such as delivery, pick-up, drive-thru, and contactless delivery.

Senheng hopes that S-Food can help Malaysia F&B SMEs to go digital with a low-cost of entry and provide them with a new channel for food delivery sales.

Hanare 8th Anniversary Omakase Lunch, Intermark Mall

Eight years ago, the promise of free-flow Australian Wagyu teppanyaki and premium sashimi lured us to Hanare's doors. Fast forward to 2018, Hanare is still one of our favorite Japanese restaurants and a big drawing force for us to visit Intermark Mall, thanks to its high-quality Japanese cuisine which impresses time and time again.

Hanare also boasts several highly-skilled chefs such as Chef Akira Yonomoto with over 45 years of experience in sushi making as well as four other local chefs with over 30 years of experience in Japanese cuisine. Furthermore, quality fresh produce specially hand picked by their staff in Tsukiji Market in Tokyo are air-flown in twice a week.

To commemorate their eighth anniversary, we had the honour of partaking in a celebratory 8-course omakase lunch in the restaurant.

Appetizer - Shironaigai (Japanese ivory shell), Wasabi ha zuke (pickled wasabi leaf) and Mozuku (Vinegar algae seaweed)

My favorite course was the sashimi platter, which came with luscious cuts of chutoro (tuna belly), uni (sea urchin), hirame (flounder), buri (yellowtail) and ika (squid).

Nimono - Toriniku Kyabetsu Roll (simmered minced chicken stuffed in cabbage leaves)

Yakimono - Wagyu Tataki Ponzu. Another beautiful dish; thinly sliced Australian Wagyu beef fillet is lightly seared and served with a ponzu sauce. 

Teppanyaki - Tiger prawn teppanyaki style, topped with special sauce. 

Coming in a close second for me was the nigiri sushi platter. The otoro (fatty tuna belly) was simply out of this world.. so tender and fatty.  There was also hirame (flounder), kanpachi (amberjack), hotate (scallop) and ikura (salmon roe). Served with Nameko akadashi soup (tiny sticky mushroom in red miso bean paste soup).

Dessert - sweet Japanese musk melon.

Chir Chir Chicken Malaysia, Pavilion Elite, KL

Originating from Seoul, Chir Chir (pronounced Chi-Re Chi-Re) is South Korea's largest chain of restaurants, known for its signature freshly cooked Korean chicken dishes. The chain's focus on great taste, value and service has allowed it to grow into one of the largest "Chimaek" franchises in South Korea, with over 100 stores.

Chir Chir's success in Korea is largely attributed to its unique menu. It constantly strives to bring something new to the table, introducing interesting twists to the typical Korean fried chicken.

Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory Malaysia, located in Pavilion Elite, has recently launched some new dishes and we were invited to check out them out.

For those in with the popular Korean "Chimaek" culture, you can enjoy Chir Chir's new Curry Fried Chicken (RM30.90 / RM56.90 for double portion) with an icy cold beer. Fresh chicken is coated with the signature batter, deep fried and then sprinkled with generous amounts of addictive curry seasoning. Absolutely delicious, we couldn't get enough of this crispy chicken!

If you prefer boneless chicken, the Honey Butter Chicken (RM24.90 / RM52.90 for double portion) would be right up your alley. Crispy boneless fried chicken chunks, along with potato wedges and rice cakes are tossed with honey butter sauce and seasoning. My kids would love this for sure!

Chi-Bap is inspired by Korea's beloved bibimbap and the Malaysian's love for cheese. Here at Chir Chir, you can find two variations of Chi-Bap.

The Rose Queen Chiqueen (RM33.90 / RM60.90 for double portion) features crispy fried chicken tenders in a creamy mix of mozzarella and fondue cheese, topped with chunky potato wedges and cherry tomatoes. Cheesy, creamy goodness!

The Spicy Chi-Bap (RM33.90 /RM60.90 for double portion) had quite a kick to it, as chicken tenders have been marinated in a spicy marinade of onion salsa, BBQ sauce and sweet potato, and is topped with crispy fries and grated cheese. Below the chicken pieces is a bed of fragrant seaweed flavoured rice, so this is a pretty substantial dish.

There is also the Nest Snow (RM34.90 / RM62.90 doule portion) - juicy Cajun chicken tenders laid in a rich cream sauce and sweet potato mash, topped with freshly whipped cream and grated cheese. What a sinful indulgence!

Spice-lovers, here's another one for you - the Special BBQ roasted chicken (RM32.90 / RM59.90 for double portion). The chicken is coated with spicy BBQ sauce and comes with an egg and baked potato with sour cream.

Don't forget to try the Mac and Cheese (RM16.90 / RM30.90 for double portion) too - it's cheesy, gooey and tummy pleasing!

We also tried two of their new, refreshing beverages - the Grapefruit Yogurt and Pineapple Smoothie, available in single glass servings (RM14.90) or a jar (RM30.90) for sharing.  I especially liked the pineapple smoothie - an ice-blended tropical mix of pineapple puree, coconut, strawberry, banana and mint leaves. Yum! (Oh and it helps with putting off some of the heat from the spicy chi-bap LOL!)

Kiddomo Universe, The Starling - Innovative Playland For Kids

Welcome to Kiddomo Universe, the innovative educational playland for kids, which fuses conventional play with technology, specially designed to bring your child's imagination to life.

Stimulation, exploration, education, discovery and competition (to a degree) are all things we try to expose our children to during playtime. After spending an enjoyable 4 hours at Kiddomo, I think it is fair to say my children were stimulated, explored the whole site, learned a few new things, discovered facts about dinosaurs and competed amongst ourselves to burst virtual balloons.

When you enter, you will be given a smartband, which you scan at every station to start playing and log your activities for downloading/activity summary at end of your session.

Your journey at Kiddomo begins at Selfie World, whereby you will be able to create your own character and see it come to life on the big screen. Baby D chose to be "SpacemanDan" while Baby C was Princess "CocoPops". Parents will also get their own smartband, so feel free to join in too!

Next your child will be able unleash their creativity at the Art Box, while learning about world's famous masterpieces. Don't worry if you are unsure of what to do at any particular station, as there are many friendly staff around who will guide and show you.

Now, this is where things get interesting. The kids will enter a dark room and be given a colouring sheet with various sea creatures to choose from. Before you think "boringgggg", think again. Once they have coloured their creation (I suggest your child writes his/her initials on), they need to use their smartband to scan their creation and they can see it pop up in the underwater world. You can just see the child's face light up with happiness as they see their own creations swimming about in the wide ocean. 

Dino Discovery comes with a huge ball pool and a mini playground. Children will need to plough through the balls to find the hidden Dino Eggs and then scan them at the station to discover and learn more about dinosaurs. The ball pool is sanitized weekly using hospital-grade kids friendly anti-bacterial spray for hygiene purposes. Furthermore, they have automatic hand sanitizers throughout the playland for your child to sanitize their hands ... great touch!

Looking for hidden Dino eggs

Play was paused temporarily for the workshop at the Glass House, happening daily at allocated times (12pm and 3pm during our visit). Our kids got to learn how to make a simple craft, a kaleidoscope using toilet roll and other household items. 

Enter the Fantasty Space and move the giant balls around and watch the colours change. Your child can also interact and play with their virtual character (pop the balloons and challenge each other to see who gets the highest score!), conduct a musical orchestra, slide down a giant slide to see how many stars you collect, cast magic like Harry Potter or star in your own music video.  You can also add your creation to Toon Planet ie watch your rocket or parachute float around this virtual city. You can print out a 3D version of your vehicle and create a papercraft.  For younger kids, there is a Baby Gym specially built for them to learn new skills such as balancing and coordination.

Before you leave, scan and watch your whole journey summarised in 3D animation at My Universe station. 

Our entire family had a fun day out at Kiddomo. A very well-thought out space, cleverly combining play and technology and stimulates a child's creativity and imagination.
