In the past, we would travel to Sri Petaling for Super Kitchen's chilli pan mee. Earlier last month, they opened up a branch in Taman Connaught which is great news for us! ;)
We checked it out on a weeknight and the place was pretty busy. Saw a few familiar faces from the Sri Petaling outlet. We ordered 2 bowls of chilli pan mee (RM7) and service was pretty efficient, as we were served within 5 minutes of placing our order.
The chilli pan mee comes with minced pork, fried anchovies (ikan bilis), fried shallots, and a poached egg, as well as a bowl of soup with manicai. Over here, the chilli flakes are placed at each table in tubs so that you can add in as much as you like. The chillies are prepared in a central kitchen fortnightly and distributed to all outlets. Glad to report that the quality of the pan mee here is good, so we'll definitely be returning in future.
Chilli flakes.. potent stuff!
Back again on a separate evening, and happy to report that the chilli pan mee's quality in this outlet is consistent. Ordered a plate of deep fried wan tans as well (RM6 for small). Awesome! ;)
