As usual, we sat at the sushi counter where all the action happens. I had my usual order of bara chirashi (RM40) - yup, I'm definitely a creature of habit. If it's good, I don't mind having the same thing over and over again
Hubby decided to go for the premium sushi set (RM100) - in the menu, it's called Assorted Sushi, Matsu (Special). Since we were sitting at the sushi counter, the chef will serve it piece by piece to your plate. In total, Hubby had 10 different types of sushi - the sushi topping is dependent on the fresh seasonal premium ingredients they have in the restaurant, so it was kind of like a sushi omakase experience. Some of the sushi that Hubby was served was hirame, kampachi, kinmedai, mirugai, fugu, octopus, uni and otoro. On top of that, they also served a chawanmushi and miso soup after all the sushi has been served.
Kinmedai
Mirugai
Fugu
Otoro (tuna belly)
Uni (sea urchin)
Negitoro
Complimentary dessert - caramel hazelnut ice cream
Thanks Hubby for the Valentine's Day treat!

Valentine? Back-dated post, I guess. Hmmm...Japanese, not some dimly-lit place, candlelight and roses and violin music and all? Hehehehehe!!!!
