Once we were seated, the waiting staff brings over the blackboard menu, where they list their available meat cuts of the day (with the respective weight). Hubby went for the 272g rib eye, while I went for the 218g sirloin.
To start, we shared a prawn cocktail (RM27). 5-6 fresh, sizeable prawns were served in a cocktail glass with a sweet-spicy-tangy cocktail sauce. Not my favorite, but birthday boy enjoyed it.
There are a few types of dry-aged steaks to choose from here at Beato - porter house, T-bone, Wagyu as well as the rib eye (RM39 per 100g) and sirloin (RM35 per 100g) that we went for. The only wet-aged steak they do here is tenderloin. Both the steaks were nicely done to our requested doneness - medium rare for Hubby and medium for me and was simply served with some roasted garlic and a slice of lemon. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries (RM15).
272g rib eye (RM106.08)
218g sirloin (RM76.30)
Steaks were good - tender and flavorful.
A glass of Cranswick Sarus Chiraz (RM23)

Wow... I am sure the taste of those steaks is heavenly! Yummy! :D
ReplyDeleteI like how the focus is just on the steaks. When the steaks are that good, there's little need for anything else! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely cocktail. Prawns are big, don't come cheap the ones this size.
ReplyDeleteHi Yen,
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Mother's Day! I hope that you had a great celebration. OMG... The portion size of the prawn cocktail is massive like they are falling off the serving cup and these steaks look really good too :D
