The restaurant is inspired by the famous Korean BBQ Chicken from Chuncheon, situated in the northernmost of Seoul where the island of Nami lies. Here at SeoulNami, the chicken is marinated with one of their special marinade concoction, namely Spicy hot pepper, Sweet honey butter, Savoury ganjang and Salty salted chicken. They use only chicken thigh, to ensure that the chicken is always juicy and tender.
We decided to go for the Signature Tasting Set (RM269 for 4 pax) as it allows us to try 3 out of 4 of their Chuncheon chicken flavours, as well as other dishes such as the crabby kimchi jjigae, fist rice / Seoul spicy noodles, and kimchi trio. It also comes with 2 (jugs of) signature drinks and dessert.
This set comes with Hot pepper chicken, Honey butter chicken and Ganjang chicken. The staff explained to us how long we should cook the chicken, about 1 minute each side, flipping for a total of 4 times and then cutting to bite-size pieces. Of course if you like it to be more charred with crispier skin, you can leave it on for longer. Four types of dips are served - Seoul spicy sauce, sea salt, ssamjang, and soy powder, however we found the meat to be really flavourful and did not require further embellishments. Our favorite was the savoury Gangjang chicken, perfectly juicy and well-marinated. We rarely order chicken when having Korean BBQ, but SeoulNami totally changed our perception... never knew Korean BBQ chicken could be so good!
It also comes with cheese lava - best cooked on the hot grill - then wrap your cooked chicken in the melting cheese for the ultimate bite.
Three types of ban chan (side dishes) are served - chives and cucumber, red radish and a green salad (all refillable). The set also comes with a steamed egg custard that is cooked tableside for 7 minutes.
For a limited time, diners can also enjoy the Kimchi Trio for free (worth RM29) with the set. Enjoy fresh, fried and smoked kimchi (our favorite!).
The Crabby Kimchi Jjigae features a whole flower crab, cooked in a light, savoury stew with cabbage kimchi, scallops and tofu. Available on a la carte for RM49.
We chose Fist Rice over noodles as BabySumoKids love this (both making and eating them!). They did a real good job mixing the sticky rice, minced chicken and seaweed together and forming rice balls. Yummeh! Available on a la carte for RM29.

The set also comes with 2 drinks, we went for the Out-of-the-world Lemonade which changes colour as lemon is added to it as well as the Fizzy Sour Plum Cooler.
We also tried the Korean bone-in short rib (RM139) - this was ready in a jiffy as beef takes much shorter time to cook. Super tender beef, in a sweet-savoury marinade - very delicious! They also do Beef Platter for RM119 or RM499 (short rib, Wagyu. beef rib fingers and beef belly).
We ordered a portion of Spicy baby octopus (RM39) and wow, this sure was fiery hot!
For dessert, you can indulge in Charcoal burnt cheese cake and Goguma on fire. The cheese cake is cooked directly on the charcoal for 15 minutes towards the end of your meal while the sweet potato requires about 40 minutes cooking time. We absolutely loved the sweet potato, so simple but so good!
