After we placed our order, we were served these deep fried prawn heads as a complimentary starter.
Since it was still CNY, we decided to order one of their Yee Sang -we went for the Mix Fruit with Seaweed (RM42). The yee sang here comes with radish, carrot, pear, lettuce, Japanese seaweed, crackers as well as tobiko. According to their server, they make their own plum sauce for the yee sang. We also spotted some baked salted egg yolk flakes in a spoon but once we tossed it all, we couldn't really taste it. Overall, the yee sang here tasted fresh and light and the portion was just nice for 4 pax.
Hubby's main arrived first - he had the Shake Don (RM38), thin slices of salmon sashimi on a bed of rice. One of our friends had the Tempura Curry Udon (RM25) which was a pretty generous portion.
Meanwhile, my girl friend and I both ordered the Yakiniku Don (RM26) which took super long to arrive - we had to remind them as the tables around us had already ate their food and have left even though we ordered first. Thankfully, when it finally arrived, it tasted good - thin slices of beef with onions topped on rice, along with a cute mini-sized fried quails egg. All the dons came with a miso soup.
Overall, we had a decent meal here in this neighborhood Japanese restaurant. They also have another outlet in Tropicana Avenue.
