CNY 2021 Delivery: Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

With the recent announcement of the extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0), no doubt Chinese New Year celebration will be different this year.  We may not be able to celebrate in bigger groups this year, however we can still enjoy an intimate celebration with our nearest and dearest, or send a gift to a loved one to let them know we are thinking of them during this unprecedented time.

Making its debut in Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, the signature yee sang this year is the Wagyu beef striploin marble eight yee sang. Wagyu beef - a transcendently tender, umami-rich steak has become as synonymous with luxury as caviar or black truffles.Perfect for ushering in the Year of the Ox.

Chinese New Year Treats

From now until 28 February 2021, guests may customise their festive gift sets or hampers with Mandarin Oriental’s range of premium delicacies that include dried seafood, bird’s nest, chocolates, cookies and more. Ideal as festive giveaways; prices start from RM 188 onward.

CNY Set Menus and Poon Choy

Available for takeaway and delivery, guests can sit back and relax while the kitchen team at Lai Po Heen prepare your CNY feasts. 

The Fortune Set Menu (RM168 per person;min 4 pax) includes Wok fried white shell prawns with Szechuan chili sauce, Braised Japanese sun-dried scallops, sea cucumber, dried oysters and fatt choy, Wok fried dragon-tiger grouper fillet with spring onions, coriander and superior sauce and many more.

The Prosperity Set Menu (RM258 per person, min 4 pax) features Steamed free range chicken roulade imperial concubine style, Crispy prawns coated with lemon dressing, garnished with tropical fruit salsa and tobiko, Braised abalone with sun-dried oysters, fatt choy and butter lettuce, just to name a few. 

Lai Po Heen is also offering two types of Poon Choy, namely the Treasure Pot (RM988) or Supreme Treasure Pot (RM1888), laden with auspicious ingredients such as scallop, prawn, sea cucumber, HK oyster, fish maw, abalone and more.
