2018 Mooncakes @ Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur will be offering 11 varieties of mooncakes for guests to choose from. The selection will include seven traditional baked and four snow skin mooncake flavours, with prices starting from RM32.

The mooncakes will be presented in elegant oriental-inspired gift boxes; the Deluxe Gift Box with purchase of 4 pieces (baked or ping pei), three-tier Premium Gift Box with purchase of 12 baked mooncakes (RM549) or the Signature Gift Box (RM419) with purchase of 6 pieces of mini golden ping pei Musang King durian.

Made with finesse, we enjoyed the Yam Paste with Single Yolk (RM36), Assorted Nuts & Sun-dried fruits (RM37), Ping Pei Lotus Paste with Ginseng and Single Yolk (RM36) and the Ping Pei Durian (RM43). My personal favorite was the baked yam paste mooncake with its smooth filling, perfectly complemented by the salted egg yolk.

A rebate voucher valued at RM20 will be given for every purchase of a box of mooncakes, to be used at Shang Palace, Zipangu, Lafite and Lemon Garden Cafe. The mooncakes are available until 24 September 2018 and can be purchased at Shangri-La Hotel KL, Pavilion KL or The Gardens Mall.
