Naughty Nuri's first hit KL shores in 2014 with the opening of their outlet at Desa Sri Hartamas. Since then, they have opened three more outlets at Subang SS15 Courtyard, Life Centre and Atria. Last week, along with BabySumoKids, we visited the Atria outlet - this outlet was opened in October 2016 with a 200-seating capacity.
The ambiance is vibrant, with friendly and very efficient service. As soon as your order is placed, you will be served within 8 minutes - how's that for great service ;)
The must-have item here is the Naughty Nuri's 1995 Signature BBQ Spare Ribs (RM48). Are they the best ribs in KL? Definitely a YES for us. :) For the pork ribs, they use premium quality meat imported from Spain. The ribs are first braised then grilled just before serving to give it lovely charred finish. Love the sauce on the ribs, and how the meat falls easily off the bone. The portion size is pretty generous too (750-800g per serving), though we often wish there was more as it's so good!
For a sinful treat, try the Babi Guling A'La Naughty Nuri's. You can go for 1/2 piglet (RM165) or a whole one (RM330). I would say the 1/2 piglet could easily feed 3-4 pax. Sink your teeth into the crispy skin, followed by the melting layers of fat and tender meat.
We opted for the Indonesian style nasi goreng (RM23) as our Chinaman Dan son wants his rice. The rice is stir fried with mixed vegetables, chillies, onions, and sliced pork belly. Crowning the rice are slabs of delicious roast pork (siew yuk) with crispy crackling along with a fried egg and keropok. They also do an awesome Indonesian style mee goreng, served with roast pork too.
To balance out the porky feast, we also had the Naughty Nuri's Signature Roast Pork Salad (RM26). The salad, with a mix of greens, purple cabbage, tomatoes, watermelon and boiled egg are tossed in their tangy asam margarita vinaigrette dressing. We were told that all their salads come with a fruit-based dressing. Again, this was topped with the awesome roast pork as well as crispy pork skin croutons.
A visit to Naughty Nuri's is not complete without sampling their martinis. Afterall, their tagline is "Killer Ribs, Twisted Martinis". Anthony Bourdain once wrote in the guest book that Naughty Nuri's had the "best martini's in the world". I had their signature Lychee Martini (RM29) while Hubby had the Senget Martini (RM35). When you order a martini, the server will do a fun and energetic "martini dance" tableside before pouring your drink in the glass.
Potent and sweet - just the way I like 'em! Lychee martini.

For dessert, we had the Mt.Buleleng inspired sizzling bacon chocolate cake (RM23). Chocolate sauce is poured over the chocolate cake stuffed with bacon and nuts. The cake is served on a hot plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Wonderfully decadent.. BabySumoKids polished this off in minutes.
