Brunch by Jala is hosted on the first Saturday of every month, and will feature individually served breakfast dishes as well as a luxurious spread of seafood, cheese and desserts, specially crafted by Executive Chef Fahdrul Malek and his team. Brunch by Jala is held at the award-winning beachfront Jala restaurant at The Andaman, Langkawi, set in the lush tropical rainforest and overlooking the glistening blue waters of Andaman Sea.
The dining venue is made even more unique with the restaurant's signature sand floor.
Served from 11.30am to 3.00pm, the brunch is priced at RM249 (Grape & Malt Package) with wines, beers, soft drinks and juices, or RM349 for The Andaman Package, with free flow Veuve Clicquot champagne.

With The Andaman Package, you will also be served a selection of specially designed cocktails from the Beach Bar. To start, the servers will bring out individual portions of breakfast items such as Bircher muesli with soy milk and berries, Jalaksa, eggs benedict and salmon platter. We loved the intricate presentation of each, and we especially enjoyed the truffle scrambled eggs served in a pai tee shell, as well as the salmon platter featuring the trio of marinated smoked salmon, cold potato and leek soup with salmon leather, and salmon tartare.

Next, the servers will come around with bigger platters of food, which you can choose to have. Some of my favorites were the breakfast bruschetta, breakfast pizza, caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella, confit octopus with garlic, and braised rendang beef ribs. The braised ribs especially were fork tender and flavorful.

However, do remember to leave ample tummy space as there is still the indulgent seafood on ice display, featuring slipper lobster, tiger prawns, flower crabs, clams, yabbies and mussels. From the BBQ grill, you will also find marinated kebabs, prawn skewers, lamb short loin and more.
There is also live entertainment by resident band 'ILLU', as well as activities to keep the young ones entertained such as arts and crafts, henna tattoo and batik painting.
End your meal on a high note with the beautiful selection of desserts, such as fruit tartlet, licorice creme brulee, mini opera cake, rich chocolate brownie, churros with warm chocolate sauce, white chocolate panna cotta and mini cookies and cream cheese cake. The petite-sized desserts give you the chance to sample a wide selection and still go back for your favorites if tummy space allows. There is also a cheese platter, featuring Old Amsterdam, Brie and fresh figs.
