The Spa at The Club Saujana Resort is an award-winning spa offering a wide range of Asian-inspired healing therapies. During our stay at The Club Saujana Resort, we had the pleasure of experiencing the treatments offered here at The Spa.
The entrance to The Spa is unassuming, however, once you come past the doors, you are transported to a whole different world, as The Spa is set in a wonderful, tranquil tropical rainforest. There are a total of 8 villas surrounded by the lush greenery. Inside each villa, there is a gorgeous, unique bath tub made of volcanic stone and each villa is wonderfully spacious and alluring.
I was treated to the Ultimate Head to Toe Mineral Indulgence Package, one of their new spa offerings which features Sea Salt from the Dead Sea. Priced at RM360, the 150-minute package includes a steam bath (20 mins), Dead Sea Salt foot bath (10 mins), relaxing Balinese massage (60 mins), full body exfoliating and mineralizing anti-aging treatment (30 mins) and the Spa Find Dead Sea Mud Envelopment with Hair and Scalp Massage (30 mins).
The unique 21-mineral blend found in Spa Find products contains seven key mineral elements; these are Magnesium, for anti-stress, Potassium and Sodium, to purify and hydrate, Calcium, to combat premature ageing, Bromide, to calm and relax, Sulphur, to heal and protect, and Iodine, to detoxify. The minerals in this treatment have therapeutic properties which are essential for our body, hair and skin which will help the body to relax and promote a healthy body and mind by normalizing mineral levels within the body.
After changing into the spa attire, I was ushered to the steam room for the steam bath, which helps to cleanse the skin. Then, sea salt is scrubbed on the feet to remove dead skin cells. This was followed by a relaxing Balinese massage which include palm pressure, stretching, and acupressure to relieve tension, improve blood flow and ease stress. I love a good massage session and my therapist did an excellent job in relieving the knots in my body and making me feel rejuvenated.
Next is the full body exfoliating and mineralizing anti aging treatment, whereby the therapist rubbed my body with a salt scrub to remove the dead skin cells and left my skin feeling soft, smooth and supple. I could literally see the "glow in my skin" when I stepped out of the shower. The Spa Find dead sea mud envelopment with hair and scalp massage left my hair feeling soft and smelling great. According to my therapist, the mud includes aloe vera which helps prevent hair loss, and cranberry which has detoxifying properties. I walked out of The Spa, feeling like a renewed person and true enough, immediately afterwards the kids touched my skin and complimented me on how soft it felt.
The hotel was kind enough to arrange a separate session for Hubby, and he experienced the Signature Relaxation massage. This is a 90-minute session and is reasonably priced at RM190 nett per person. It is available during weekdays only and features the ancient Balinese massage techniques, with a range of calming floral or energizing aromatherapy oils. The experience left hubby feeling both relaxed and refreshed.
These treatments were recently experienced during our family's "summer" school holiday period. As hands on parents, we both thoroughly relished these chilled out personal experiences. The soothing spa music and the Zen like environment created by the luxurious, super spacious treatment rooms combined with the expert hands of the therapists at The Spa at The Club Saujana Resort left us feeling brand new and ready to enjoy the remainder of the school holidays.
