Just before Christmas last year, we had a food blogger's gathering as well as meet-up at Sonia's house. Jessie, one of our blogger friends from Australia was back in Malaysia for a short holiday and Sonia kindly offered her beautiful home as the venue for our gathering.
When a bunch of food bloggers (very good in cooking) gather together, you'll be sure that there will be no shortage of good food!
Sonia prepared an array of delicious food for us, such as Chinese popiah, egg tarts, Pandai Xiang Xi chiffon cake, and homemade roast pork (siew yuk). You can read her blogpost here, and also to get the recipes.

Another good friend of mine, Veron brought her homemade yong tau foo (ladies finger and brinjal) as well as a famous store-bought chee cheong fun. Veron, thanks also for your lovely Christmas gifts for my family. We love them all!
I made my Madeira cake as well as Japanese Nama chocolate so happy that my talented cooking friends enjoyed it.
It was fun learning how to wrap our own popiah from Sonia. First time for Hubby, and he christened it with a Christmas tree (drawn with the sauces). Definitely apt for the occasion.
We also had fun making tong yuen together..
And we even got a masterclass in gyoza wrapping from Sonia! Never realised how easy it was to make your own gyoza at home, thanks to Sonia, now I can also make it for my family. But need to find the gyoza skin first... since many Tescos around my area do not stock them.
