We drove to Lai Foong to have their beef noodles but they were closed (oops forgot to check their opening times) so we headed to Tangkak Beef Noodles in Taman Segar (approximately 5 minutes away). The street parking is pretty horrendous in this area so best to park in Cheras Leisure Mall.
The restaurant is air-conditioned so you can dine in comfort. The menu features various combinations of beef parts and diners can also choose what type of noodles as well as whether they want it dry or in soup.
I went for the Beef + Stomach + Tendon (RM13.90 for regular) combo with lai fun in soup. The soup is flavorful and appetizing, thanks to the preserved salted vegetable that they add. I also liked both the stomach and tendon, but the beef used was a little tough and chewy in texture.
Hubby had the Beef + Beef Ball (RM12.90 for regular) combo with dried lai fun. Similarly he felt the beef was really hard. We would stick to Lai Foong for our beef noodles fix in Cheras, as the beef there is more to our liking.
Opening times: 10am to 10pm.
Price: Total bill RM29.50 for 2 pax.
Location: Tangkak Beef Noodles, No. 60 Jalan Manis 3, Taman Segar, 56100 Cheras, Selangor. (Park in Cheras Leisure Mall)
Tel: 03-9133 9912

Very famous, never got to try. So far, my No. 1 would be Kota Kinabalu's Kah Hiong's. They have outlets in KL, I believe.
