Spa @ Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur + Lunch @ Gobo Upstairs

Don't you just love a good spa treatment? For us, it's an instant stress buster and mood lifter, and that's how we felt after our spa treatment at theSPA at Traders Hotel KL. The Spa is located on the rooftop at Level 34, directly above Sky Bar. theSPA offers relaxing treatments especially designed for busy executives to promote both inner and outer wellbeing.

This was our second time here at The Spa, and this time we tried their 60-minute Aromatherapy massage (RM210). Upon arrival at the spa, we were served hot tea and cookies, while we took a couple of minutes to fill in their spa questionnaire, listing out any allergies or health conditions. Soon after, we were ushered to the only couple's spa treatment cabana and changed out of our clothes into the disposable undergarments provided.

Our massage therapist then begun our session, combining gentle and relaxing touches which are designed to induce and restore the natural harmony between body, mind and soul. They used a blend of essential and vegetable oils for this massage, so you will literally walk out of the spa glowing. For those who enjoy a relaxing, soothing massage, this is definitely for you! After our spa treatment, we headed down to Gobo Upstairs on Level 6 for lunch.You can either choose the Daily Specials (RM25 nett per person), or go for the Executive Lunch (RM69) which includes unlimited starters, a main course and unlimited desserts. We both went for the latter, and ordered the Filet Mignon for our mains. Both set lunches are available from Mondays to Fridays only.

Starters include grilled summer vegetables, salad, soup of the day, and assorted breads

The filet mignon is served with truffle risotto, asparagus and Bordelaise sauce. The steak was tender and delicious, what a treat it was!

Other mains available to order are pan seared sea bass papilotte, beef tataki and penne Arrabiata.

Desserts include assorted cakes, chocolate fountain, fruit platter and cheese
