Tea and desserts at Harrods Cafe
We first had some tea and desserts at Harrods Cafe, which is located on ground level next to Isetan. Not to be confused with the tea salon on the 1st floor next to their signature shop. Harrods Cafe, a street level alfresco cafe is casual and relaxed. Cakes are displayed at the glass counter at the front - after browsing, we went for the lemon meringue pie and cream puff. They also serve Harrods' signature salt beef sandwich here. Service here is friendly.

After desserts, we were ready for lunch (yes, that's how we roll - desserts first:P) so we headed over to Ben's for a quick bite. Coincidentally, my kids + their grandparents also went to Ben's for lunch - they had Ben's Cheesburger and Fish & Chips. We went for Ben's House Salad (RM16), a pretty nice salad with edamame, 7 seeds, avocado, and house dressing. I enjoyed eating this. The duck confit spaghettini (RM26) with sun dried tomatoes was also good - duck was crispy and pasta was nicely cooked. Although restaurant was very busy, service was good and quick.

The cream puff looks so awesome! Drooling by just looking at the photo, love the generous amount of cream sandwiching in the middle :)

ReplyDeleteYen, that pasta & the salad were the best dishes that I had in Malaysia! Later the trip I was planning to go back to Ben's but thinking of Ethan is allergic to nuts, we were then changed our mind. I had a great time catching up with you & Sonia too!
