Sharing on the inspiration behind this year’s mooncake offerings, Lio Lim, CDLC’s Managing Director enthused, “For 2021, our mooncakes are conceptualised to tell the story and legends of the Mid-Autumn Festival. We want to share the tradition with our clientele with a delicious modern twist in taste, and therefore each piece of mooncake is unique in design and flavour profile as it represents a different key component of the story. For example, one of our mooncakes is called ‘Hou Yi the Archer’ and as we savour the taste of it, we can also learn that he was the brave archer who saved humanity by shooting down nine scorching suns simply by referring to the modern-ancient illustrations on our mooncake box.”

2021 Mooncakes: Le Meridien Putrajaya

This Mid-Autumn Festival, indulge in a selection of delightful mooncakes from Le Mei,the contemporary Chinese restaurant at Le Meridien Putrajaya. Available from now until 21 September 2021, five different flavours has been specially created for this occasion. 

Priced from RM18 onwards, the mooncakes are handcrafted by Chef Yau Fong Peng and his team daily. Choose from traditional baked flavours such as the White lotus paste with single egg yolk, Assorted fruit and nuts or Pandan paste with hazelnut or if you are a fan of snowskin creations, try the Mini snow skin red bean paste with walnuts and winter melon seeds or Mini snow skin cheese and cashew nuts. You can also select Mooncake Box A, priced at RM93, which includes 2 snow skin and 2 baked mooncakes, as well as Mooncake Box B, priced at RM108, which includes 4 baked mooncakes (*min purchase of 5 boxes required).
