Located in Melawati Mall, Golden Valley is a Malaysian restaurant focusing on authentic Chinese cuisine and seafood, made with Halal ingredients.
For the holy month of Ramadan, Golden Valley is offering Buka Puasa sets to cater to their customers, available for dine-in, takeaway and deliveries. There are three sets to choose from; Set for 2 (RM99), Set for 5 (RM299) and Set for 10 (RM699), with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Scroll down for the full menu.
For our first Iftar of the year, we had the Set for 5 delivered to our home. The Set for 5 comes with your choice of soup, 1/2 roast duck, 1 whole seabass, your choice of seafood, your choice of vegetable/egg/tofu, and dessert of the day. All sets also come with rice, drinks and kurma (free flow if you're dining in).
Our dishes arrived beautifully wrapped in batik cloths, furoshiki-style. Perfect for gifting to your friends and family. Our food was well-packed in individual containers (sauces separated to keep fish crisp) and was still nice and warm. The portions were generous and will comfortably feed 5 pax.
Seafood & sweetcorn soup - first time trying this soup from GV and we were pleasantly surprised with the generous amount of seafood in the soup. Well suited for children's tastebuds.
1/2 Roast Duck - diners have the option of upgrading to Peking duck for RM20 or to change the dish to chicken. We love the roast duck here at Golden Valley, flavorful and moist, using Halal duck from Perak. If you're getting delivery, I would recommend this over Peking duck as it travels better.
Whole seabass - you can choose from four cooking styles: Steamed with soy sauce, Thai-style, Sweet & sour and Nyonya. We had the Thai-style seabass and it was delish! The deep fried fish was fresh and meaty and was complimented well by the sweet and tangy Thai sauce with mango relish.
Salted egg yolk squid - our kids' favourite! Other seafood options include assorted seafood, mantis prawns, and lala.
