First to arrive was their signature baked bun with BBQ pork (RM11.50) - it was still as nice as I remembered it. Crisp exterior and fluffy on the inside, with sweet sticky BBQ pork filling. We also loved the congee with lean pork, century egg and salted egg (RM10.50) - the congee had a super smooth texture and tasted really good.
We also had the vermicelli roll with shrimp (RM13.60), once again the roll was smooth, and the prawn filling was fresh and bouncy. One of my favorite steamed dim sum items here is the steamed spinach dumpling with shrimp, the translucent skin is delicate and beautifully made. At RM8.30, it is one of the cheapest items on the menu too.
The deep fried beancurd skin roll with shrimp (RM11.50) was nice and crispy. The Unc fancied the glutinous rice with lotus leaf (RM13.60), and it was good - sticky, and flavorful.
For desserts, we had the steamed egg cake (RM8.30), so fluffy and nice. Best eaten warm! During our visit, we were also served a complimentary tonic medlar and osmanthus cake (RM7.20 usually) - refreshing jelly-like dessert.
