The weather has been sweltering hot lately, so one of the things Hubby made was instant banana ice cream. You basically just peel the bananas, chop them into thirds and then place them in the freezer for a few hours until completely frozen. No ice cream maker required -just place in blender and blend for 2-3 minutes until you get creamy banana ice cream.
Look how pretty it turned out!
Pass the spoons around and dig in! You will need to eat it all in one go, as apparently it will freeze solid and become impossible to scoop if stored in the freezer as there is no actual sugar in this ice cream. No chance of that happening here as we finished everything ;)
So next time you have some overripe bananas, you know what to do - peel them, freeze them and you can have instant banana ice cream whenever you feel like some.
