Oyaki @ The Loaf, Tokyo Street, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

Killing time on a hungry stomach is no fun. We wanted a quick bite so decided to try two pieces of oyaki from The Loaf.

Oyaki is a Japanese bun (butter roll dough) baked in the oven. It is quite soft and comes with different kinds of filling. There are 12 different fillings to choose from, priced at RM2.90 each. Recently they announced four new flavours (see bottom of post for flyer of new flavours).

We tried the Japanese curry and Mango Cream Cheese (one savoury and one sweet). Out of the two, I prefer the Japanese curry, actually it is quite similar to the curry buns we used to get from Imbi Cake House in Seremban after school. ;) Ahhh childhood memories.

Price: RM2.90 each.

Location: The Loaf, Tokyo Street, Level 6, Pavilion KL, 168 Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.

    1. It's alright as a snack. The buns are soft and fluffy enough.

  2. Ooo, this might be a disaster, but I wonder if having Japanese curry AND mango cheese cream inside the SAME bun could work. It could be a mix of sweet-savory, and still be nice and creamy =)
