The chef has previously worked in several hotel restaurants such as Le Meridien KL and Ritz Carlton, hence the food served here looks and tastes more refined. To start off our meal, we shared a Braised Skark's Fin Soup with Crab Meat & Sun Dried Scallops (RM13.80). The bowl was laden with generous amounts of crab meat and dried scallops... delicious!
We have had the Braised Homemade Beancurd Nanjing Style (RM15) served in a bamboo basket several times before. It is now a must-order everytime we dine here as I simply love the gravy. The homemade tofu is silky smooth and I could eat white rice with this gravy alone, packed full of flavour and goodies such as carrots, mushrooms and minced pork.
The Braised Spare Ribs with Creamy Butter Fruits Sauce (RM15 for small) was very good. Not sure what fruits were used in the sauce, as I could only detect butter and curry leaves. The ribs were tender and not too boney (which I like) and the sauce was very creamy and delicious.
The Stir Fried Hong Kong Kailan with garlic (RM11 for small) was nice and crunchy.
We were still hungry after the first 4 dishes, so we ordered another chicken dish, the Deep Fried Boneless Chicken with Condiments Pattaya Style (RM16 for small). I enquired if this dish was similar to Thai Style Chicken. The deep fried chicken arrived separately from the sauce. At first glance, the chicken looked a little dry but it was actually very moist with a crispy skin. You can dip the chicken in the sauce piece by piece as you eat it, or pour the sauce all over the chicken like we did and let the skin soak up some of the tangy sauce.
Sauce made of lime, chillies, onions, and peanut - very appetizing
Surprisingly tasty and moist
The restaurant will also be serving yee sang (RM38 for small) during Chinese New Year. There are also 3 different 8-course menus priced at RM488, RM688 or RM888 nett.

ReplyDeleteEating here during normal days is ok. My CNY Dinner was a disaster! Waited 2 1/2 hours still not served and I book 3 months in advance. At last decided to change venue and got my deposit refunded.......
