Festive Feast at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur for Ramadan 2019

This holy month of Ramadan, The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur will take you on a gastronomic journey through Malaysia with their Festive Feast buffet spread. Held in The Cobalt Room, the chefs will be showcasing signature dishes representative of the 13 states in Malaysia as well as Middle Eastern specialities, paired with exceptional service and hospitality.

Diners can enjoy flavourful signature dishes from Perlis to Penang, Kelantan to Terengganu, Malacca to Johor and all the way east to Sabah and Sarawak.

To start, guests can enjoy an array of Malay appetizers and salads such as Penang rojak, Acar Jelatah from Perak, Umai from Sarawak, Kerabu Taugeh Perlis, Pecal sotong dan kangkung from Johor and ulam-ulaman. There are also Sup Ekor and Bubur Lambuk, for those preferring hot dishes.

Representing Kuala Lumpur is the roti canai station, freshly made by their friendly chef. There is also Murtabak ayam, roti canai stuffed with chicken filling.

There will also be everyone's favorite, Kambing Bakar as well as lamb and chicken briyani.

At the noodle station, you can find Mee Hoon Sup Utara Perlis, Curry Laksa Kedah, Mee hoon Johor and mee goreng mamak.

There will also be grilled fish such as Ikan bakar Sabah, Talapia Merah and Ikan Cencaru served with various dipping sauces.

Not to be missed are the mains such as Rendang tok from Perak, Chicken rendang, Paru goreng berlada from Selangor, Sotong goreng lada hitam from Sarawak, Ikan patin masak tempoyak from Pahang, Ikan tenggiri asam pedas from Melaka, Sambal udang petai from Negeri Sembilan, Gulai ikan tongkol from Terengganu and Ayam percik from Kelantan.

Guests will also be able to enjoy Middle Eastern favourites such as shawarma and hummus on the spread.

The decadent dessert counter will feature Kek Lapis Sarawak, Talam Pandan Sabah, Pulut Tekan Melaka, Bubur Cha Cha Kedah, Bubur Pulut Hitam Perlis, ais kacang, cendol, fresh fruits, various Malay kuih and cakes – the perfect way to conclude your evening of feasting.
