This trail will take you through the jungle, up 630 steps to the 400-million year old Gua Datok cave. Here, you will be able to see the limestone formation in the three chambers, bats, crystals and will be rewarded with an awesome view once you reach the top. You will also encounter some unique flora (and maybe fauna) during your 2-hour jungle trek. Our guide, Pravin, was very informative and shared lots of interesting facts about Gua Datok and the surroundings with us.
It is advisable to wear proper sports attire (preferable long sleeve and long trousers as they are lots of leeches and mozzies) and sports shoes. Please bring along water as well as mosquito repellent. You will start at the Lost World Adventure Park, where you will be given a short briefing and kitted out with a safety hat and headlamps (so you can see inside the dark caves).
At the base, before we started our 630-step ascend
Yes, we made it! In less than 15 minutes ;)
Now comes the fun part... exploring inside the caves

ReplyDeleteHi! This is a jungle trek and there will be a hike, so I dont think it's suitable for a 1 year old baby.
