With its industrial chic vibes and inventive Asian-inspired dishes, Lucky Peaches Eating Hall + Bar in Desa Park City is fast becoming a popular component of Plaza Arkadia's dining scene.
The restaurant is casual yet cosy and definitely Instagram-worthy, with the elegant bar area housing a selection of boutique wines, bottled Bavarian beers, whisky, champagne and more taking centrestage. Lots of natural sunlight pours in through the windows, the warmth contrasting with the cool raw texture of the steel and wooden staircase. I'm definitely loving the space!
The menu influences are about reimagining hearty flavours from Asia and incorporating them into cuisine that’s non-traditionally Asian to create a contemporary twist of casual, comfort food. We sampled some of their new, reinvented dishes and boy, were we impressed!
As Baby C loves mushroom soup, we got one for her... the Rustic mushroom soup (RM15.90) here is served with brown butter and toasted baguette. Lusciously rich with chunks of mushrooms, this is how a good mushroom soup should be.
Baby D, on the other hand, is a mussels lover so the Taiwanese wok black chilean mussels (RM33.90) with toasted sourdough went down a treat. We managed to try a couple before the boy polished the rest off.
Another bestseller here are the Fried Vietnamese pokpok wings (RM25.90) which definitely pleased us (aka the chicken wings lovers). A set of four wings, well-marinated, juicy and crispy - finger licking good, for sure!
On weekdays, Lucky Peaches also offers rice bowls for a quick and delicious lunch fix. Choose from the spicy salmon rice bowl (RM19.90) or the ch'cken guling rice bowl (RM16.90); we had the latter, which is inspired by the Balinese babi guling (but with chicken here as the place is pork-free). Comfort in a bowl, the pulled chicken is tossed in a tangy pesto kaffir lime, topped on calrose rice along with crispy chicken skin crackling and belinjoe crackers. Hubby loved this!
If you browse Instagram, you will notice that one of their most popular dishes here is the wow bao with various toppings such as buttermilk fried chicken and crispy tempura soft shell crab. However, we tried the baos with the NEW caramel soy sauce, sticky and spicy oxtail (RM38.90). The oxtail meat was braised until tender and fell off the bone easily, which we packed into our steamed buns along with the pickles. Nice sharing bites, though we wish there were more buns!
Pastas are one of their strong suits, particularly the new Prawn Nyonya laksa leaf pesto (RM26.90). Incredibly delicious, with all the taste elements coming in play - tangy, spicy, savoury, complemented beautifully by the chargrilled prawns.
An ode to the Chinese dai chow's buttermilk prawn, the spaghetti with asian buttermilk sauce, topped with a crispy soft shell crab (RM29.90) delivers on taste with the crispy egg drop and flash fried curry leaves giving it extra texture and flavour.
On weekends, Lucky Peaches offers all day plates such as shakshuka, huevos rancheros, eggs benedict and french toast, all with a Lucky twist of course.
The Aubergine Shakshuka (RM18.90) comes with chargrilled aubergine, runny egg and toasted sourdough - perfect brunch material.
The Caramelised banana French toast brulee (RM25.90) was amazingly decadent, with the luscious custardy brioche toast drizzled with honey.
In Asian culture, the number '8' is considered lucky. To celebrate its 8th month anniversary, Lucky Peaches is offering this gorgeous 200g Tasmanian ribeye for RM39.90 only.
Beautifully cooked in the charcoal oven, the steak was juicy with an irresistible smoky aroma. Available on weekdays (except Public Holidays), while stocks last.
Who's the lucky one now? ;)
Take advantage of the fantastic all-day cocktail promo and explore the various curated cocktails on offer (RM17.90 each or RM29.90 for two). My personal favorite is the Watermelon mint mojito made with fresh watermelon juice, rum and crushed mint. If you like gin, then try the Kyurigari gin - an original concoction of gin with ginger beer, cucumber and blue pea extract. For beach holiday vibes and fruity flavours, the Tropical Tiki Island (RM22.90 each or RM39.90) served in a hollowed out pineapple (complete with a mini umbrella) is Lucky Peaches' version of Long Island with tequila, rum and gin.
Lucky Peaches also serve a selection of bottled German beers from popular Bavarian brewers, Hacker-Pschorr and Paulaner.
Milkshakes here are excellent - wonderfully creamy and smooth. Vanilla, strawberry or chocolate (RM9.90) - take your pick.

The mushroom sure looks like it has an edge over that at a lot of places. The presentation of each dish shows the love and passion the people here put into the fruits of their labour. Nice, very nice!
