Hotels with great aesthetics appeal to me and this swanky hotel has everything going for it. From the moment you step into the vast hotel lobby, you will be wowed by the magnificence of its interior. Modern, classy yet functional, I instantly fell in love with gorgeous spaces around the hotel. Totally Instagram-worthy!
Malaysian touches can be seen all over the hotel, such as the imposing six-metre high “wau” (traditional Malaysian kite) structure at the lobby and the colossal 3-metre “gasing” (traditional Malaysian spinning top) sculptures as well as curated local artworks.
The hotel boasts 300 guestrooms and suites, all lavishly appointed with sleek, contemporary furnishings along with panoramic views of the city. Generously sized, guestrooms start from 36-square-metres for Deluxe to 73-square-metre suites. Each room also comes with unique Malaysian-themed artwork and design to give a sense of identity that is proudly Malaysian.
On our recent staycation here, we had the pleasure of checking out the One-Bedroom King Suite. High ceilings and the amazing city views further enhance the sense of spaciousness in the expansive suite. The bedroom comes with a plush king-sized bed for a comfortable night's sleep as well as a walk-in wardrobe and dressing table.
We did a mini photoshoot in the room :)
There is a separate living room, with tasteful lounge chair, cosy sofas and a writing desk with media control panel. It is also equipped with a flat-screen television with international channels, Nespresso coffee machine, Harney & Sons premium tea and a mini bar. Complimentary high-speed WiFi is available for guests throughout the hotel.
My favorite feature of the suite is definitely the luxurious marble-clad bathrooms with a freestanding bathtub and a large picture window showcasing the amazing views. Guests will also find a separate shower and toilet, along with Elemis toiletries and double vanity tops.
Suite guests will receive access to the Residence Club Living Room, located on Level 29 from 7am to 10pm. All-day refreshments such as coffee, tea, soft drinks and fruit juices are available and there will also be cocktails and canapes in the evening from 6pm to 8pm.
Head up to Level 30, where you can relax on one of the lounge chairs while taking in the view or go for a swim in the rooftop infinity-edge swimming pool (1.2m deep). There is also a whirlpool for a relaxing massage and a kids pool for the young ones.
For fitness buffs, there is also a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre on Level 29, which is well-equipped with the latest treadmills, elliptical machines, stair climbers and free weights.
Breakfast is served daily at Pasar Baru, the hotel's all-day dining restaurant which pays tribute to Malaysia's multi-cultural cuisine, featuring Malay, Indian and Chinese flavours in a lively market-style setting.Traditional mosaic tiles synonymous with the local Peranakan heritage adorn the walls of Pasar Baru creating a colourful and vibrant setting to elevate the local market experience.
We checked out the inaugural buka puasa feast at Pasar Baru - click here for detailed review.
Located on the 30th floor is PJ's Bar & Grill, the largest rooftop bar in Petaling Jaya offering top-notch food, delicious cocktails as well as the finest views of PJ and the surrounding cityscape.
The stylish restaurant specialise in Western and Asian grilled dishes, as well as tapas-style small plates. Click here to read our detailed review of their new menu.
Don't forget to try the signature cocktails - we loved the Pineapple Ginger Margarita and Passionfruit Martini.

With high ceilings and cascading lights, The Lounge in the hotel’s lobby is an elegant spot to enjoy a coffee or tea and delectable pastries with your friends or business associates. Natural sunlight pours in through the two-storey high windows and bathes the space with a warm glow.
