We often rave about the steaks and all the delicious dishes we've eaten here to the kids; last week during our staycation at Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur, BabySumoKids finally got the chance to dine here too.

"The tomahawk is a must-try!" we told the kids, pointing to the photo of the tomahawk advertisement in the lifts. But first, we indulged in some Hokkaido scallops from their monthly promotion. We ordered two starters to share - the Pan Seared Scallop (RM68) and Scallop Carpaccio (RM66).
My boy, who is a big scallop fan, loved the seared scallops (he had two!) - plump and juicy, served with butter corn miso foam with bottarga and the crispiest spinach tempura. So delicious!
The scallops were sweet tasting and fresh, making them perfect for a carpaccio dish. The thinly sliced raw scallops were topped with orange segments, wild rocket and yuzu dressing.
The kids watched in amazement as the chefs grilled, seared and sliced the impressive Tomahawk (RM820), weighing in at 1.5kg. As always, the tomahawk is cooked to perfection, revealing beautiful medium rare meat for us to devour. The kitchen also kindly replaced mashed potatoes with steak fries, as requested. Perfect for sharing, it was just nice for our family of four!
