We recently visited their outlet in The Starling Mall with BabySumoKids. Ordering is done via the electronic menu with a few simple taps on the tablet screen, and all dishes come with an attractive photo. For those who prefer the old-school way, they also have paper menus for you to browse through.
BabySumoKid's new found love ever since we visited Ipoh is chicken hor fun, and Nam Heong does a fantastic version. What we really liked was the broth, which was robust and creamy. Definitely a must-try here!

They also regularly offer promotional (seasonal) items on the menu such as this Golden Man Tau (RM6.90) which comes with a choice of sauce - Kaya Margarine, Chocolate Peanut Sauce and Pork Curry. We went for the pork curry and it was so good! The mantau itself was nice, warm and crisp on the outside, and the pork curry was thick and flavorful. Available for a limited time only - get it before it's gone!
We ordered a Soft Boiled Egg Set which comes with kaya margarine toast (RM7.50) for the kids. Yeah, our kids can have this for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My little food critics told me the eggs were super creamy compared to two other places we had these for consecutive meals.
Hubby and I shared the Supreme Prawn Noodles (RM13). You can specify what type of noodles you like for this. Again, we loved the soup which was full of flavour and fragrant. The noodles came with fish cake, egg, beansprouts, kangkung and prawns.
Nam Heong is also currently running a Ipoh Street Food Promo, whereby you can find baby octopus, rojak Ipoh, Hainanese chicken chop rice, and Nasi lemak with pork curry. During our trip to Ipoh, I didn't get to eat the baby octopus, so I was very happy to see it here. The baby octopus has been lightly poached and served with light soy sauce and a sprinkling of golden fried garlic. I loved it!
Good things come in small packages, we were told. This was certainly the case with the Teeny Savory Asam Laksa (RM3.90), served in a small rice bowl. The soup was thick, spicy and pungent.. absolutely lovely. The serving size is perfect for a sampler, and if you like, you could always order another bowl.
Ipoh is also famous for its steamed chicken, so we went for the Twin Mixed Roasted Meat set (RM19.90). They use kampung chicken here, and it was beautifully done.. the chicken was really smooth. We also enjoyed the char siew (BBQ pork) which came with a sticky, sweet caramalised glaze.
We tried a variety of drinks - Baby D had the 7 Up Float (RM3.90), Baby C had the Baby Milo Dinosaur (RM4.80), Hubby had the newly launched Vintage Nan Yang Coffee C (RM4.20) while I had the Dragon Fruit Mango Juice (RM8.90).

Cendol (RM3.50)
Don't forget to try the signature egg tarts (RM3.20 per piece, or RM17.90 for 6). We got a pack of six to take away with us as they keep really well and still taste good the next day. But of course, nothing beats a warm egg tart, fresh from the oven. Nam Heong bakes their egg tarts fresh daily, in several batches throughout the day. Another must-try is the Signature Chicken Sou (RM3.20) - the pastry was buttery and light, with a delicious BBQ chicken filling.
Opening times: 10am to 10pm daily.

You definitely had a much better experience here than I did. I agree that the egg tarts and chicken sou are really good. I must go back and other items which you did but I haven't.
