When it comes to Korean BBQ, my favorite meat / cut is definitely the pork belly. So, without any hesitation, we got a portion of the sam gyup sal (grilled sliced pork - RM28) and another portion of gochujang sam gyup sal (grilled sliced pork in Korean spicy sauce - RM35). Once we placed our order, the waitress came with complimentary cold water, complimentary ban chan (side dishes), complimentary steamed egg and complimentary spicy soup. So much complimentary stuff, the Asian in me was loving it! :) For the ban chan, you can request for refills - we asked for extra kimchi as it was good!
They serve 10 types of ban chan here
Kimchi!
Baby D's favorite ban chan - sweet and sticky anchovies with peanuts
Complimentary egg and soup (Baby D ate half the pot of egg)
The good thing about Korean BBQ is that the staff will do all the cooking for you. Over here, they cook each portion separately - cook, cut and let the diners enjoy the first meat before moving on to cook the next one. The meat had the right proportion of fat to lean meat, absolutely melt-in-the-mouth goodness.
Meat on the grill!
Sizzle sizzle... smells so good!
Cut into bite-sized pieces and ready to be enjoyed
You can wrap it with lettuce, along with chilli, paste, and garlic or eat it dipped in one of two of the sauces provided
Next meat gets the grill treatment
Hubby prefers this one, but I love them both!
They also do a BBQ buffet here - worth it if you are a big eater.
