Hanaya, our favorite Japanese restaurant has recently launched a new lunch menu, so we went last weekend to check it out. The menu selection is much bigger, with added items such as chicken cutlet don, double cheese hamburger steak (hambagu), Wagyu beef steak ju, unatama don, inside out roll sushi, and more.
As usual, we opt to sit at the sushi counter to watch all the action. They really are the best seats in the restaurant.
Fresh sashimi from Tsukiji market
Hubby went for the sashimi set (RM80), which is one of the new items on the lunch menu. For the sashimi set, you can opt to have it with the rice set, salad set or udon set. Hubby chose the rice set, which comes with rice, miso soup, chawanmushi, pickles and appetizer. A bit pricey, but the sashimi is of premium quality. There was salmon, blue fin tuna, Hokkaido scallop, snapper and I forgot the last one. :P Very fresh and good! You will get 2 slices each of each type of fish.
The salmon sashimi was served atop a wasabi leaf... something we have never encountered before. Luckily we didn't put the whole leaf into our mouth (thinking its rocket :P) as it has a spicy aftertaste, just like wasabi.
Although there are lots of new items on the menu, I can't help but choose my favorite item here, the bara chirashi (RM45). I love watching the chef make my bowl of bara chirashi right in front of my eyes! The only downside is that they have increased the price, not only that it no longer comes with the sides such as the appetizer, chawanmushi and soup. However, it still tastes fantastic so I'm happy!

After lunch, we checked out the newly opened Shoes Gallery by Parkson in Fahrenheit 88. The interior is very nice - lots of Instagrammable spots in the place :)

Oh my! What a wonderful addition to their menu! That bara chirashi is surely astonishing. And it's very delectable!
