Hotel Review: Premier Suite @ The Ritz-Carlton KL

One week after our staycation with the kids at The Ritz-Carlton KL, Hubby suggested an adult's rejuvenation weekend away (just the two of us) to use up our remaining YTL points. We checked in early and went off for lunch with our friends, came back to the hotel and enjoyed our couple's spa at the Spa Village KL. So far so good and we haven't even seen our hotel room yet.

So after we finished our spa treatment, our personal butler Calvin was waiting for us with our room key. When you stay at The Ritz-Carlton KL, each room is assigned with a personal butler who will look after your needs and assist you. Much to our delight, Calvin informs us that we have been upgraded to the Premier Suite. What a wonderful surprise :)

The Premier Suite (893 sqft) is beautiful, spacious and luxuriously-appointed; we were greeted by a separate living/dining area followed by a king-sized bed in the next room, a walk-in closet and a huge bathroom/shower. We were certainly impressed and best of all, this was going to be our home away from home for the next day.

The interior oozes class, and one of the detail that I love is the personalized pillows on the bed. Yes, the pillows are personalized with both our initials. A very nice touch :)

You can work, relax and dine here:)

Guests of the Premier Suite receive complimentary access to The Library Lounge (located on ground level of the Residential Suite Wing). Throughout the day, there are 5 complimentary culinary presentations, namely breakfast (7am-11am), light lunch (12pm-2.30pm), afternoon tea (2.30pm-4.30pm), evening canapes (6pm-7.30pm) and desserts (8pm-10pm). There is also a cocktail hour between 5pm to 8pm, whereby guests can enjoy a selection of cocktails and wine along with the evening canapes. We enjoyed a few glasses of red wine as well as cocktails such as Long Island Iced Tea and Margarita here. For the evening canapes, there are some small bites, chocolates, cakes, cheese platter and even yong tau foo. I particularly liked the cupcakes and other desserts, which are similar to the ones from the Sunday Roast buffet.

We also had our breakfast here; there is a selection of cold cuts, cheese, salad, Chinese porridge, yogurt, fruits, cereal and you can also place an order for eggs/sausages with the waiting staff. Not many people come here for their breakfast (mostly go to Cesars) so I find it very quiet and relaxing to have breakfast here at The Library Lounge. For those who wish to enjoy the Library Lounge (but do not have it included with their room rate), there is a fee of RM200 to enjoy this privilege.

Nice chocolates

Lovely red velvet cake

After an evening of cocktails, canapes and some shopping at the nearby malls (Starhill, Pavilion KL, Fahrenheit 88 are within walking distance), we returned to our room to find yet another surprise waiting for us. Our butler has prepared a chocolate platter for us (along with some cute bunnies crafted from hand towels!) and left us note. Ah, a special milk bath with rose petals has been run for us to enjoy.. how lovely! I definitely enjoyed the long soak before bedtime ... so relaxing.

All laid out nicely for us to enjoy the rest of the evening

Tea lights and rose petals set the mood for a romantic night

Thank you for making our stay memorable!

And after we checked out, we headed to the Lobby Lounge to enjoy the Sunday Roast Buffet.
