Super Saigon, Bangsar: For Halal Vietnamese Food!

Super Saigon recently opened its fourth outlet in Jalan Bangkung, Bangsar. Serving Halal Vietnamese food, you can find all your favorite Vietnamese favorites here such as spring rolls, banh mi, bun cha, pho, Vietnamese coffee and more!

With its signature leafy backdrops, neon lights and beautiful porcelain plates on the white walls, the interior is Instagram-worthy and certainly adds to our dining experience here.

The menu focuses on the use of fresh ingredients such as premium cuts of imported Australian beef, chicken, fresh herbs and aromatic ingredients to ensure every dish is executed well. Using only HALAL Certified products and suppliers, Super Saigon focuses on being the first HALAL Vietnamese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur.

To start, why not have BOTH the fresh rice paper rolls and crispy spring rolls... we loved the freshness of the fresh rolls with tiger prawns and veggies (RM13.90), served with a peanut sauce as well as the deep fried crispy, crunchy minced chicken and prawn rolls (RM13.90). A lovely contrast of flavours and textures.

Pho is my ultimate favourite Vietnamese dish, and the version at Super Saigon is so good with its clear, flavorful broth. I went for the Medium Rare Sliced Beef & Tendon Pho (RM18.90), with an add-on of firm, juicy beef balls (RM4). I like how the beef is now served rare, so it cooks ever so slightly when you dunk it in the soup for the perfect doneness. It's wonderful that they offer unlimited beansprouts and Thai basil to go with your pho too. What a satisfying bowl of noodles!  (PS For lunch, diners can enjoy a FREE drink too (Vietnamese coffee/pandan lemongrass) with every order of pho. Valid from 11.30am to 6pm on weekdays!)

Hubby, on the other hand, went for the Stir fry kuey teow with sliced beef (RM18.90). Big on flavour, this was pretty similar tasting to the Chinese beef hor fun that we love, but using slightly wider flat noodles. Generous amounts of tender, sliced beef and broccoli, capsicum, onion and carrots are topped on the noodles.

For a sweet end, we had the Moist Chocolate Cake (RM8.90) with salted caramel sauce. Rich, moist and very sinful. Yums.

My favorite drink here - the Avocado Smoothie (RM9.90)!

Coffee is very good too...

Someone clearly loves the coffee here A LOT!
