Review: Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur

Need a year-end staycation? Strategically situated in the heart of the city centre, Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur  is ideal for both guests wanting a quiet break or an adventure-filled holiday exploring the streets of KL. Furthermore, the hotel has recently undergone a major refurbishment, sporting a modern, sleek look at the hotel lobby, restaurants and rooms.

The hotel boasts a variety of accommodation, from 28 sq m Deluxe Rooms to spacious 50 sq m Family Rooms. The Family Room was perfect for our family of four, as it came with a king sized bed and two single beds, all in one room! The room is subtly partitioned, providing both parents and kids with their own area.

The room is well-appointed in natural wood tones, and comes with a LCD flat screen TV, lounge chair, working desk, coffee/tea making facilities, mini fridge, and a lovely, spacious marble bathroom with separate shower / toilet. There are plenty of kids and movie channels, perfect for staying in for a long movie marathon if you like.

The saltwater pool is located on level 3 of the hotel, along with a shallower pool at the side for younger kids.  There is also a gym on the same level.

Breakfast is served at the hotel's all day dining restaurant, The Garden Terrace on Level 1. The selection was pretty good, ranging from noodles, nasi lemak, porridge, pastries, cereal and more. Other than breakfast, the hotel also serves an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner, with dishes such as salads, soups, sandwiches, burger, pasta, Western and Asian mains and dessert. Chinatown KL, also known as Petaling Street is a 5-min drive away from Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang. Foodies can visit the famous Jalan Alor for KL's biggest collection of roadside restaurants and street food vendors in the evening. There are also lots of shopping and entertainment outlets in the vicinity.
