Majestic Festive Banquet Dinner @ The Majestic Hotel KL

During this festive season, sample more than a hundred classic Malay recipes from around Malaysia, prepared specially by Chef Zaidi and his culinary team at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The Majestic Festive Banquet Dinner will be held at Level 3 at The Majestic Function Room from 1 June to 20 June 2017, and is priced at RM125 nett per person. The buffet spread will feature timeless specialties such as udang galah sambal, rendang itik and kambing kuzi.

Break fast with a variety of kerabu (Malay local salads) - choose from kerabu mangga muda (young mango salad), acar jelatah timun dan nenas (pineapple and cucumber salad), kerabu kerang bersama taugeh (Asian salad with cockles and beansprouts), acar buah (fruit pickle), urap ulam-ulaman, and kerabu kacang panjang.

There will also be bubur lambuk and sup kambing, a hearty mutton soup.

Satay, hot off the grill!

Lemang, ketupat palas and ketupat nasi, with serunding, sambal ikan tongkol and rendang ayam.

Moving on to the mains, there will be delights from all over Malaysia such as ikan bakar sambal, paru lembu goreng berlada, kambing kerutub, masak lemak telur itik, sotong goreng asam, ayam masak sambal kantan, rendang daging hijau, nasi hujan panas and pajeri terung berempah.

There will also noodles such as laksa Penang and mee rebus.

End your meal with the local desserts such as local Malay kuih, sago gula melaka, tropical fruits, ais kacang, ice cream or pengat labu. There will also be a goreng-goreng counter, where you will find goreng pisang and keledek.

There will also be a Festive Variety Dinner at Contango, the hotel's all day dining restaurant from 25 May to 25 June 2017; this will be priced at RM145 nett per person and will feature cuisine ranging from Thai, Japanese, Western grill and Italian, with a special focus on local Malay cuisine.
