The Patisserie, located on the first floor of The Ritz-Carlton KL is a great place to enjoy a light meal. The ambiance is akin to an intimate Viennese patisserie with a modern twist. Beautiful cakes line the counters around the restaurant.
The two-page menu comprises of salad, soups, quiche, pie, sandwiches, burger, wrap and pasta. The price may be on the high side for certain items, however this is justified by the use of high quality, premium ingredients. We ordered two of their signature dishes, as well as a pasta dish which the waiter highly recommended.
The Spaghetti Wagyu Bolognese (RM70) was different than any bolognese I've eaten in the past. The spaghetti was topped with a whole patty made from Margaret River Wagyu beef, which you mash up and mix in with your pasta. The meat sauce was flavorful, gorgeously meaty with lots of herbs - we enjoyed this immensely.
One of the signature dishes here is The Ritz-Carlton Club Sandwich (RM70), consisting of lobster, grilled beef bacon, fried free-range egg, and momotaro tomato, served with a side of chips. As good as sandwiches get, however it would have been better if the lobster was more prevalent.
Definitely my kind of salad, the Grilled Black Angus Salad (RM65) comes with more beef than salad leaves :) The tender, juicy beef was topped with wild arugula, cherry roma tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and beet vinaigrette.
