Mulwarra Beef Promotion @ La Cucina, Pullman KL Bangsar

La Cucina in Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar will be running a two-month Tantalising Steak promotion, as part of its Guest Chef Series. The promotion will run from 21 November 2015 until the 21 January 2016.

For this promotion, Chef Mike Tafe, the Corporate Chef of Mulwarra has created 3 appetizers, as well as 4 mains using Mulwarra grass fed beef which will be served at La Cucina Restaurant. Diners can also order Mulwarra Black Angus tenderloin, striploin or rib eye steak as well as lamb cutlets from the grill. His menu is simple, as he would like diners to experience and enjoy the natural flavours of the Mulwarra beef.

During the media preview, Chef Mike prepared tasting portions of 2 appetizers, 1 main and 1 from the grill steak for us to try. The Tataki of Mulwarra Beef Tenderloin (RM50) was one of my favorite dishes of the afternoon. The lightly seared beef was served with a ginger and leek puree, julienned vegetables and a soy-sesame dressing. Light and delicious!

Next, we had the Braised Lentil and Lamb Shank Soup (RM40), served with a cumin scented crisp bread. A chunky, comforting soup.

Mulwarra Lamb are sourced from the pristine green pastures of Australia's southern state of Victoria, using only second cross lambs bred solely for meat production.



From the Grill, we tried the Mulwarra Black Angus Grass Fed Tenderloin (RM120). Mulwarra supplies quality free range grass fed beef sourced from Australia's premier cattle regions in the eastern states of Victoria and New South Wales. The beef was beautifully cooked, and simply served with Texas Barbeque Spice Rub and Smoked Tomato Relish on the side.

The Mulwarra Black Angus Grass Fed Rib Eye Steak with seeded mustard dressing (RM125), from the mains selection, was Hubby's favorite dish of the afternoon. This was served with brussels sprouts, and French beans.

For desserts, we shared the creme brulee and tiramisu. What a decadent finish to our meal!

The Mulwarra Beef promotion will run from November 2015 to January 2016. The menu is available for both lunch and dinner daily, prices start from RM40 onwards.
