The Unc Visits: Hanare Japanese Restaurant, KL

Other than DISH KL, another restaurant on The Unc's radar during his trip back to KL was Hanare Japanese Restaurant. Hubby and I did not mind accompanying him there for the Sunday Buffet again. Three (persons) must be the lucky number for us, as during this visit, we were informed that even the chutoro (tuna belly) which was limited to 3 pieces per person last time was unlimited! Yes! Free flow chutoro!!!!

Best Japanese buffet in KL!

Keep Calm
It's Free Flow Sake and Sashimi Sunday!!

They also extended their sake promotion, so diners can still enjoy free flow sake with the buffet for RM148++. You can read in more detail about this Sunday Brunch buffet in my post here, I'll let the pictures do the talking in this post. :D

There can never be too much sashimi.....

The sashimi here is as always very fresh. Love it! Tried everything, and as usual my favorites are the chutoro, salmon, kanpachi and tuna. Try counting how many slices of sashimi we had.... I'm posting them all here. Haha!!

Stopping for an oyster

Hello my beautiful chutoro! Had LOADS of this!!!

Hubby asked Chef Akira-san to decor our sashimi platter with a flower.... and wow he actually made a flower out of the salmon sashimi for us. Gorgeous!

Now you know why I am called Baby Sumo.... LOL!!

The wagyu teppanyaki, scallop and cheesy prawns are not to be missed either..

Some tempura and some shishamo (pregnant fish)

Our vegetable intake for the afternoon :P

Nice maki!

Chicken karaage - pretty good, juicy meat

Green tea pudding

Green tea ice cream - this is very good! Had several helpings of this.

Fresh fruits

Not forgetting some sake..

Cheers!

Verdict: Best Japanese buffet in my books - especially with free flow chutoro! :D

  11. A buffet with limited food, even if it’s one dish, is a little disappointing. It’s especially disappointing if it happens to be your favorite. No amount of other food selections can make up for that, so I’m glad that everything was unlimited for this visit. :) I also have to say that I’m not sure whether to thank you or not because I’m now very hungry after staring at your pictures. Must. Find. Buffet. Now.
