Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee, Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur

What a beauty.... agree?

We were back in Sri Petaling last week, hunting for more good food. On our last visit to Iwate Ramen, we spotted several pan mee shops on the same row. The one that caught our eye was Super Kitchen, as we've never been and have heard pretty good things about it. We were there on a weekday (early) hence service was pretty fast. We didn't even bother to look through the menu and immediately ordered two bowls of chilli pan mee.

Ice lemon tea (RM3)

Foo Zhuk Yee Mai (Barley with beancurd) (RM2) - this is nice

The chilli pan mee here is served without the chillies. There is a tub of fiery-looking chilli flakes on each table and you can add as much as you like. The chillies are prepared fornightly in the central kitchen and then distributed to the outlets. The pan mee came with mince pork, fried anchovies (ikan bilis), fried shallots, and poached egg as well as a bowl of soup with sweet leaves. I only added 1 tsp of chilli flakes to my noodles, I think that's my limit ;P

Yummylicious

If it's not spicy enough, feel free to add more chilli flakes ;) How hot do you like it? Do share.

The pan mee texture here is excellent, I think of all the pan mee we have tried, this is the best so far. Everything just blends well together.

Maximum pleasure

  4. How hot? I like just enough spice for flavour, but not so much that I can't appreciate anything else.

    1. Looks like we're the same, there are some people who really like it spicy and can put up to 3-4 tsps.

    1. It is like regular noodles I guess, but handmade. The draw to this kind of noodles is that it is served with minced pork, poached egg and chilli flakes, which all combined together makes a great lunch!

Hope you've enjoyed your weekend too :)
