Plan B @ Bangsar Village 1, Kuala Lumpur

There's nothing better than starting your day with two beautifully poached eggs for breakfast.

Usually when we visit Bangsar Village, lunch is often at Ben's General Food Store, since I love their truffle funghi pizza very much. Since we just ate pizza there last week, we decided to go to Plan B instead to try their offerings. The place was packed but luckily we didn't have to wait long to be served.

The concept here is modern Aussie-meets-New York-deli. The menu consists of breakfast and brunch, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and pastas.

Hubby was craving for a burger so he had the Double Cheeseburger (RM23). It was served with some onion rings, fries and a side salad. The homemade patties were definitely juicy and was topped with melted cheddar. Hubby gave this burger a big thumbs up.

He also had the Butterscotch Milkshake (RM10) which was really good. Not too sweet.

I was torn between the Eggs Ben and Eggs Royale, but ended up having the former. The eggs were beautifully cooked, sitting atop a wonderfully soft toasted English muffin. Loved the pairing of the eggs with slow roasted Portobello mushrooms and fresh aragula. Definitely a tummy-satisfying brunch :)

  4. Sean: But they also have a breakfast dish here called Eggs Benedict which is served with turkey bacon instead of the Portobello mushrooms!

  6. Michelle: I'm sure he'll oblige. Let him know that there are some Asian inspired dishes such as Nyonya Laksa, Pho and Ayam Percik.
