An Early Christmas with Children from Agathians Shelter @ Eccucino, Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur

Last Saturday (3 December 2011), Prince Hotel & Residence threw a Christmas party for 40 children from the Agathians Shelter at Eccucino all day dining restaurant as part of the hotel's corporate social responsibility activities. I was honoured to be one of few bloggers/media to be invited to this noble event to share the Christmas spirit with the children.

Prince Hotel have been inviting the children from Agathians Shelter for the Christmas party every year since 2008. "Christmas is about the kids and we could not be happier inviting the children from Agathians Shelter to celebrate with us again this year," says Prince Hotel & Residence KL General Manager, Mr. Tim Quarm.

Christmas crackers -- getting in the spirit of Christmas!

The children from Agathians Shelter have arrived... all looking very pleased :)

Right after settling down, the children didn't waste any time in pulling crackers with their friends and other guests.

Santa Claus and his little helper

Mr. Tim Quarm gave a short welcome speech, and then it was present time! Each child was presented with a gift prepared by the hotel apartment guests -- the children were definitely delighted with their gifts.

After all the presents were handed out, it was time to feast! A lavish buffet was prepared by their chefs for the party, but honestly I think most of the kids were happy to see the ice-cream! My favorite section was the desserts, so colorful and pretty -- and most are pretty yummy too. For mains, I enjoyed the beef stew and roasted leg of lamb.

Lots of activities were prepared for the children to enjoy. There was a clown who went around giving out balloons to the children and later entertained them in a magical clown show.

The children were obviously mesmerised

Executive Chef Donald Pezar also prepared a gingerbread house decoration activity for the children. The children donned chefs hat and got busy with decorating with some help from the hotel's chefs. Most of the gingerbread houses were beautifully decorated by the end of the afternoon.
