I baked: Cheesy garlic bread

If we fancied garlic bread in UK, the easy way out would be to grab a loaf off the supermarket shelves, which was ready to be popped into the oven and eat in less than 10 minutes. In KL, it is not so easy to find fresh (and nice) garlic bread in supermarkets so if we want some, we would have to make our own.

The other day, Hubby fancied some Cheesy Cottage Pie and this time, I made some of these delicious cheesy garlic bread to go with it.

Cheesy garlic bread
Preparation time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking time: 10-12 minutes
Makes 10 slices

Ingredients
3/4 French baguette bread
80g butter, softened at room temperature
3 tbsp Parmesan cheese
4-5 cloves of garlic
Black pepper
Dried parsley / marjoram

1. Preheat oven to 190°C.

2. Cut the bread into 2cm slanting pieces.

3. Using a garlic press, mince the garlic.

4. Mix the garlic, butter, dried herbs and pepper together in a small bowl.

5. Spread the garlic butter onto the bread liberally.

6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top of the bread and bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese have melted and turned slightly golden brown.

7. Serve immediately with a soup of your choice.

A great addition to your meal

I omitted cheese from a few slices, for a lighter taste.

Garlicky goodness! ♥
