Yuri Japanese Restaurant, Seremban (Visit #2)

We were here at the Yuri Japanese Restaurant previously for their Sunday Buffet.

Other than doing a very good buffet, they also serve set lunches on weekdays.

For unagi lovers, try the 'Unagi Set Lunch'. The set lunch comes with a very nicely grilled unagi (eel), radish soup, miso soup (ok, maybe a little overkill on the soups here), pickles, white rice and fresh fruit (dragonfruit and honey dew).

I had the 'Sukiyaki Set', a very large portion of thinly sliced beef with tofu, negi (a type of scallion), Shitake mushrooms, glass noodles, straw mushrooms in a shallow pot. Usually, the ingredients are dipped in the raw egg before eaten but I mixed it into the pot and let it cook a little! Very nice! Also served with miso soup, pickles, white rice and fresh fruits.

If you love teppanyaki, then do order this 'Beef teppanyaki set'. Among all the set lunches, I feel this is the best. But I think it's also the most expensive. But the beef is really tender and taste really good. Comes with a chilli dip. Anyway it still tasted quite nice. Served with miso soup, garlic fried rice, pickles and fresh fruit (mango and papaya).

Hubby ordered the 'Seafood Teppanyaki Set', which includes a slice of grilled salmon, squid, fried egg, mussels and vegetable. Well, this dish was "supposed" to have scallops, but they ran out of scallops and the waitress failed to inform us. We were really miffed! Anyway it still tasted quite nice. Served with miso soup, garlic fried rice, pickles and fresh fruit (mango and papaya).

Both the teppanyaki sets came with a side order of tempura (2 x prawn tempura, 2 x vegetable tempura). Nice!

Complimentary green tea served.
Price: From RM25-RM55.
Service: Service is good apart from the waitress failing to tell us about the "missing" item.
Opening hours: 12.00 - 2.30pm
Location: Yuri Japanese Restaurant, Klana Resort Seremban, PT4388, Jalan Penghulu Cantik, Taman Tasik Seremban, 70100 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. (formerly Allson Klana Resort)
