Tiki-Licious Sunday Brunch @ The Resort Cafe, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa

The Resort Café at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa presents Tiki-Licious Sunday Brunch, a new dining experience specially catered for families and friends. Launched back in July, this hugely popular buffet offers a wide selection of cuisines from all around the world, served to your table, amidst a festive, vibrant and fun Lūʻau-inspired set-up. The Tiki-Licious Sunday Brunch is available every Sunday starting from 11.00am to 3.00pm and is priced at MYR88 nett per adult and MYR48 nett per child aged 6 to 12 years.

Operating in the ''new norm'' with the implementation of best practices and policies in accordance with "Sunway Safe Stay"programme, guests are required to scan in using the SELangkah or MySejahtera app prior to entering The Resort Café. All tables and chairs are also arranged according to the government’s SOPs on social distancing guidelines.

Furthermore, the Sunday brunch buffet dining experience entails a personalised service with dedicated service attendants serving diners directly at their table. Twelve Live Action Stations are located in the restaurant’s open-exhibition kitchen where a la minute cooking is done upon each order. Diners are allowed to view the stations and place their orders with the service attendant and have it delivered to their table or order from the menu placed on their table. At the end of the meal, cashless payments are accepted for a complete contactless dining experience.

Start your meal with a Caesar Salad tossed in a giant cheese wheel, pushed around the restaurant on a trolley. A choice of Chinese Double-boiled soup or Western Soup of the day will also be offered. We were also served a platter from the Colours of Life station, with some Mexican snacks including Nachos and grilled skewers.

At the live action stations, Doodle for Noodles features homemade hand-pulled noodle ‘La Mian’ or Pasta, the Asian Food Trail offers Steam Dumplings, Chee Cheong Fun, Steamed Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken and Bamboo Briyani, Teppanyaki and Maki Rolls are served at the Treasures of the Rising Sun station, while the World of Skewers have a variety of grilled meat including the much-loved Satay, Turkish Kebab, Balinese Satay Lilit

In addition, there is also Chicken & Duck Talk station which offers flavoursome Duck or Chicken rice, Fishy News that offers signature Fish Head Curry with Paratha, the K-Pop Spice of delicious Korean-style Fried Chicken & Pancake, Kids R’ Us serving Chicken Nuggets, Sandwiches and Churros specially for the kids, and lastly, Freeze The Moment station of refreshing desserts like Ice Kacang, Chendol, and Tropical Soft Serve as well as popcorn and candy floss.

The Resort Café will be transformed into a Lūʻau paradise where staff will be dressed in Hawaiian and Mexican outfits with island music playing in the background throughout the brunch offering. There are also exciting and interesting activities lined up for kids above 6 years which include cupcake decorating, hula dancing and more.

To add to the beach vacation vibe, diners can also choose some fun mocktails from a special drinks menu to complete the lunch escapade experience. Priced at RM20 per glass, you will find mocktails such as Babalu Tai, Aloha Sunshine, Tiki Colada and Virgin Samoan Margarita.
