The Best Char Koay Teow in Cheras, KL!

After a 7-month hiatus, our CKT aunty is back in action. We've really missed her char koay teow, so in the past week we've already visited her stall twice to satisfy our CKT cravings.

We visited several other CKT stalls around Cheras area during her break and none could match up to hers. I'm so glad that she has reopened for business again and I'm glad to report that it is still as fantastic as ever!

Each plate is fried individually and comes with thin flat noodles, juicy cockles, two large prawns, crunchy beansprouts, chives, egg and of course, crispy pork lard (chu yau char). We recommend that you go for extra spicy 加辣 (that's how we like it!). There's also an option to add-on cockles (siham). Lots of wok hei and very tasty! Definitely the best char koay teow we've tried in Cheras!

  1. How much was that? Two big prawns and lots of cockles. Best not to eat a lot of the latter though - saw some newspaper article about the ones from the Melaka Straits circulating on social media.

  2. No wonder the aunty & uncle look familiar. I've tried the roasted meat rice, curry laksa and wantan mee at One Yulek but somehow not her CKT. Looks like I just 'missed' out on her CKT coz I don't think I'll be visiting Sweetland since it'll be difficult to convince my family to return due to our not great dining experience there.
