Lipton Nitro Tea Debuts at High Line, Resorts World Genting

Resorts World Genting, Unilever Food Solutions Malaysia and French premium syrup maker Monin have teamed up to introduce the Lipton Nitro Tea. The first of its kind in Malaysia, this unique tea beverage is available only at the newly-opened High Line, located at Resort World Genting’s SkyAvenue Mall.

In 2017, Lipton tea collaborated with Monin syrups to create a tantalising array of tea-based drinks and mocktails for #MixTealogy, pushing the boundaries of tea drinking culture forward. This formed the basis for Lipton Nitro Tea, which takes Lipton teas prepared from real leaves sourced from sustainable tea plantations across the world and infusing it with exciting natural spices and flavours from Monin. That liquid is then poured into a food-grade nitrogen gas cylinder to blend for over seven hours.

The presence of nitrogen instantly chills the beverage, creating a frigidly cool tea that is wonderfully refreshing to drink. The nitrogen bubbles in the tea results in a drink with a ‘thicker’ mouthfeel and a beautifully creamy and rich ‘head’ as it is served from cylinder to glass, just like draught beer from a tap.

Two types of Lipton Nitro Tea will mark the debut of Lipton’s latest and most exciting product – Blue Owl Nitro Tea and Spice Bloom Nitro Tea. Spice Bloom Nitro Tea, a chamomile-based tea with ginger and cardamom is designed to pair with meat dishes, while Blue Owl Nitro Tea, a Jasmine tea with its sharp citrusy tinge, goes well with seafood.

Designed as an upscale food market on the top floor of SkyAvenue Mall, High Line is a dining concept made up of seven establishments – called food hubs. They serve an expansive menu, from deli sandwiches and barbeque at Carnivore, Chinese pancakes at Jon Bing, the freshest catch of the day at Seafood Market, modern twists on Malaysian recipes at Asian Heroes and the best patties and buns at Burgers & Shots. Craft beer kiosk Brooklyn Brewery and retro-flavoured cocktail bar Back In Time round up the offerings. Lipton Nitro Tea is available at Burger & Shots. Once purchased, diners can take the drink to any of the food hubs.

Meat Lover’s Corner: Carnivore
This F&B outlet specializes in American-style deli sandwiches such as the iconic pastrami sandwich as well as the New Orleanean staple, shrimp po’boy sandwiches served on brioche. It also offers uniquely Malaysian creations such as the chicken floss and spicy mayo toastie and beef serunding sambal toastie. Carnivore Corner also serves as a retail shop for premium sausages, cold meats and cold cuts.

Whole Load of Crepe: Jon Bing
Jon Bing is the anglicized translation of the Mandarin word for Chinese crepes: xien ping. This kiosk specializes in crispy Shanghainese egg roll crepes served in paper cones for food on-the-go.

Good Times Are Brewing: Brooklyn Brewery
The Brooklyn Brewery serves up Brooklyn Indian Pale Ale and Brooklyn Lager which pair perfectly with the food available at High Line. This unprecedented collaboration with Carlsberg Malaysia makes High Line the first F&B venue in Malaysia to offer these beers on tap. The kiosk will also offer Carlsberg, Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, Asahi and Connor’s on tap.

Working like Clockwork: Back in Time
Set against the soon-to-be opened 20th Century Fox World theme park clock is Back in Time, serving cocktails, wine by the bottle or glass, and bubbly such as Spanish Freixenet Elyssia Pinot Noir Brut and Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial. It also offers single pours of rum, cognac, tequila, vodka, gin, scotch, bourbon, whisky and single malts.

A Wave of Flavour: Seafood Market
The Seafood Market draws inspiration from the great fish markets of the world: Japan’s Tsukiji, Pike’s Place in Seattle, Washington; and Spain’s Marcat del Peix.

As a live seafood counter, the Seafood Market focuses on Asian-style seafood preparations made with items selected from the live aquariums. Fresh fish available daily include seabass, Chinese pomfret, red snapper and tilapia. The signature pail of seafood offers a finger-licking combination of prawns, clams, mussels, scallops and squid.

The Seafood Market also offers an oyster bar stocking Canadian, Irish and New Zealand oysters, along with prawn cocktail and a cheese selection along with cured and smoked seafood. The Seafood Market is also complemented by a Raw Wine Bar which offers New World wines by the bottle.
