Ippudo, The Gardens Mall - Lunch Set Menu

When BabySumoKids crave for ramen, Ippudo in The Gardens Mall is the place we would choose to go to.

This visit, we ordered two full bowl sets, whereby you can choose from five types of ramen, and also from two appetizer sets.

We both went for the Shiromaru MotoAji (RM33.90), which is Ippudo's original tonkotsu broth. I have to say, this is currently one of our favorite ramen places in KL - the broth is super creamy and rich (and you don't get thirsty from drinking it all unlike some other ramen places). It comes with ultra thin Hakata-style noodles, two slices of pork loin, beansprouts, wood ear fungus and spring onions. We also opted to add-on two shio tamago for RM2.50 each. A super satisfying bowl of noodles!

Runny egg - yums!

For the appetizer, we chose to have Set A which comes with salmon sashimi, edamame and a piece of chicken karaage. I think this is the second time we had salmon sashimi here and the quality is subpar.. they should really improve on the freshness of the sashimi if they're serious about offering it on a permanent basis on the menu. The Full Bowl Set promo is available weekdays only from 11am to 5pm.

Now that the kids are older, they will usually share a bowl of ramen between them. They also had the
Shiromaru tamago (RM26.90) and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially this young lady who loves the ramen here! We also like that they hand out activity sheets to the kids once we are seated to keep the kids occupied.
