Prawn Mee @ Auntie Lora Kopitiam, Cheras, KL

Last weekend, Hubby and I decided to venture to Taman Segar, Cheras for breakfast. Auntie Lora Kopitiam is famous for its Penang prawn mee and other Penang specialties such as assam laksa, white curry mee, kuey teow soup and nasi lemak as well as Kong's Ipoh 江氏" white coffee.

Without hesitation, I ordered the prawn mee (RM8) while Hubby had the prawn noodle with pork ribs (RM14.80). They are basically the same thing, only difference is the latter comes with 3 pieces of pork ribs.

Customers can choose what types of noodles they want in their prawn mee - either mee, meehoon or both. The prawn mee comes topped with prawns, kangkung, beansprouts, half a hard boiled egg, and pork slices. The soup was flavorful and sweet, so good that we drank it til the last drop. My only criticism would be that the prawns were overcooked as they were really tough and dry. Otherwise, an excellent bowl of prawn mee. The pork ribs weren't that great either, so we would skip it the next time.

We also ordered the toasted soft bun with margarine and kaya (RM3.50) which was pretty ordinary, as well as the white coffee (RM2.50) and fresh soy milk (RM3).

Service: Fast.

Price: Total bill RM31.80.
