Lunch @ Hanaya Japanese Restaurant, KL

I was craving for some bara chirashi, so we visited Hanaya based on Baby Sumo's recommendation. Since we were early, we visited Pavilion KL to see their Christmas decoration.

Cute snowman made from real ice in the hotel lobby (mummy told us about it and we just had to check it out)

The bara chirashi (RM40) here was excellent. The various ingredients were fresh and each had a role to play in the taste of the dish . Every bite was a delight; as you go through the bowl, you get bursts of flavour of a tuna here, a sticky sweet unagi there, and a popping ebiko every other bite. Wonderful stuff!

Both the salmon and saba shioyaki (RM35 each) were well prepared. The fish was fresh and the various components of the set menu made it a tasty combination. The set lunches here are available everyday, including weekends.

The ladies and children get a complimentary green tea ice cream each... nice touch!
