Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park + GIVEAWAY!

We recently got our Sunway Lagoon Annual Passes, and since then, have made a couple of visits there for some family fun. This would be a really great place to bring your kids to during the school holidays!

Sunway Lagoon has several attractions, such as Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park and Scream Park. You get access to all the parks with the annual pass, and you can go as many times as you like for one whole year ;) The price of the annual pass is RM300 for adults and RM240 for children (11 years and below) - it's really worth it because a single entry pass already cost RM150 per day.

On our first visit, we tried out some amusement park rides and also visited the Wildlife Park. Wildlife Park is an interactive and educational zoo, featuring white lions, miniature horses, sun bears, panthers, tigers, cottontop tamarin, hornbills, peacocks, pygmy marmosets, snakes, and many more. This attraction is outdoors, so make sure you put on plenty of sunscreen lotion on your kids as well as bring a hat and lots of water.

We made our way to the Pet Village first, where the kids got the chance to pet as well as feed the animals there. They have a few giant tortoises, rabbits as well as guinea pigs. After that, we also tried catching longkang fish (guppy) but man they were lightning fast! On display near the Pet Village are also meerkats, Southern Cassowary as well as goats.

At the new snake display, we saw many different types of colorful snakes, and also some shedded skin - it was definitely fascinating for the children to see. A snake sheds its skin to allow for continued growth.

Next, we saw a few types of monkeys.... our favorite was the White-tufted-ear Marmoset... they have recently welcomed a new baby into their family. We were reading the notice which said that the father is usually the one that looks after the baby, and true enough, I spotted the newborn on the father's back! So adorable :)

Then, we went to visit Zola and Zuri, the white lions (belonging to the subspecies Panthera Leo Krugeri) at Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park. Although pale, white lions are not albinos as they have normal pigmentation in their eyes and skin. Then, we saw two black panthers showing off (leaping along the walkways).

Bird Savannah is where you will find lots of colorful birds, including peacocks and hornbills.We were waiting for this peacock to show off its feathers, but no luck this time!

Our last stop was Tigerland; it certainly looks like this tiger is posing for the camera. ;)
