The Eatery, Four Points by Sheraton, Puchong

A couple of weeks ago, we were at Four Points by Sheraton, Puchong for a family staycation. During our stay, we had all our meals at The Eatery, the brand's signature all day dining restaurant and also the only restaurant in the hotel. The restaurant serves both International and Asian cuisine, as well as offering a seafood buffet dinner on Fridays and Saturday and as hi-tea brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

There is also plenty to choose from on their a la carte menu, and from what we have tried, lots of delicious options.  For the a la carte menu, see here

On the day of arrival, we had lunch at The Eatery and tried the River Prawn Noodle (RM30) aka sang har meen. One large prawn cut down the centre and served with crispy noodles and egg gravy. Really enjoyed this, very yummy. The restaurant kindly separated the noodles into two plates for us. I would say this is very good value for money (especially since you're enjoying it in a hotel environment), as I usually pay more than this at this place. I know where to go for sang har meen the next time I have craving for it ;)

We also tried one of their signature pizzas, the Oriental Hawaiian Pizza (RM28); chicken satay, pineapple, onions and cheese topped on a thin, crisp pizza base. A very nice pizza - kids enjoyed this very much especially the chicken satay chunks.

For dessert, we had the Pandan Cheese Cake (RM17) served with highland berries compote and passion fruit coulis as well as the Banana Tart (RM17) with toffee and white chocolate cocoa powder.

On the third day of our stay, we had lunch at The Eatery again, trying out more of their signature dishes from their a la carte menu. We started off our meal with this vibrant starter of Seared Tuna (RM25) wrapped in Vietnamese rice skin and topped with sweet mango chunks. You can drizzle over the nuoc cham dressing before eating as well as a sprinkling of sea salt to bring out the flavours of the beautifully seared tuna. It is served with marinated kyuri cucumber and rocket leaves.

We were also served the spaghetti with arrabiatta sauce (RM32), topped with seared Pacific Rim salmon. The sauce had a nice spicy kick to it.

Homemade Spring Rolls (RM18) served with hoisin sauce  (vegetarian)

Hubby also had the signature Beef Burger (RM29), beef patty with melting cheese and served with a side salad and crispy chunky fries. The burger was juicy and very satisfying.

I also ordered the Australia Beef Sirloin (RM56); I was told that they use grain fed beef here so it was nice and tender. Served with roasted tomato, mushrooms, potatoes and a honey – balsamic reduction. Do remember to request for your desired doneness, and I'm told the restaurant usually serves it well done otherwise.

Cooked to medium doneness, as requested.

The Eatery also offers buffet lunch from Mon-Fri (RM72 nett) or buffet dinner from Sun - Thurs (RM82 nett). There is also a  hi-tea buffet every Saturday and Sunday from 12-2.30pm and is priced at RM51 nett per adult and RM25.50 per child (4-12 years old). The offering from the hi-tea buffet includes tandoori chicken, roast duck, ais kacang, beef stew and fish kebab.

Opening times: 6am to 11pm daily.

  1. Used to enjoy the one in Kuching but the last couple of times I stayed there, I was not all that impressed anymore. Old chefs left perhaps. :(
